BIO

Diana Cioffari (b. Boston, Massachusetts, 1984) is a composer, performer, educator and member of Sigma Alpha Iota, International Music Fraternity. She has received a Maters of Fine Arts in Performer-Composer (Vocal Emphasis) from California Institute of the Arts (2016) and a Bachelors of Music (Vocal Emphasis) in Combination with an Outside Field in Theater from Ithaca College (2006).

After graduating from Ithaca College, Cioffari taught at Rhapsody Music and Art Center from 2006-2009. In 2007, she became the Interim Musical Director for The Sarah W. Gibbons Middle School production of Once Upon a Mattress. From 2007 to 2012 Cioffari has performed with such companies as The Savoyard Light Opera Company, The River’s Edge Players, Opera del West, and The Sudbury Ancient Fyfe and Drum Companie. Cioffari was a graduate teaching assistant and classroom teacher through the Community Arts Partnership program at the California Institute of the Arts.

Diana’s most recent project is a collaborative work called The Many Delays of Charlie Greene, for which she composed the music and sung the titular role. Some of her talented collaborators were Sarah Van Sciver, Alysha Aurora, and Leah Clancy. She workshopped this project at California Institute of the Arts and she plans on continuing this project with her collaborators outside of the Institute. Cioffari is currently working on The Midnite Theater with Alysha Aurora, a music- theater experience fusing music, dance, theater, and projections to narrate reimagined fairy tales, myths, and legends.
