Diana Cioffari is a performer, composer, and educator, M.F.A. Performer-Composer ’16 (California Institute of the Arts) and B.M. Music and Theatre ’06 (Ithaca College). Diana has maintained an active musical career over the past ten years as a vocalist, pianist, and fifer, as well as composer, musical director, vocal coach, arranger, songwriter, and teacher in classrooms from elementary to graduate level. Composing for film, theatre, dance, concert, and experimental presentations, Diana’s work has a narrative focus. Recent projects include her original songs and score for new musical The Many Delays of Charlie Greene, workshopped with Diana in the titular role at CalArts in spring of 2016. And with Alysha Aurora, soprano/interdisciplinary artist, Diana is currently composing original music for The Midnite Theater, an original work fusing music, dance, drama, and projections to narrate reimagined fairy tales, myths, and legends.
